AnaXent - the girl with an accent

AnaXent was born and raised in the former Yugoslavia and went to live in France after the war started.

She felt urged to write to express her feelings after the hardship she experienced like war, racism and poverty.

On her arivial in France she ended up in suburb of Paris where there was a lot of violence, drugs and crime happening.

She saw lots of youngsters going the wrong way with no future. She started to write to attract the attention of the youngsters on the streets where hip hop really helped her to do that. She was writing in French and Yugoslavian for a while and many people were impressed for what this lil girl was saying so AnaXent decided to come to England to learn English so that her lyrics could be understood by the world.

She came to England on her own at a very young age find herself being homeless with no ability to speak the English language but she stuck to her plan and her aim was to help these kids. It took her a few years, it was hard as she had to learn the language and she found herself having difficulty as everyone would refer to her as having an accent.

She was then spotted on a video shot by a uk music producer Sea James who saw a big potential in her and worked with her 24hrs/day and Her first album 'An Accent' was written.

Even though she went under the artist name Ana as her real name, people would call her An Accent when she was doing gigs as for her accent.

Later on AnaXent in the interview stated that her name stands for FREEDOM, STANDS FOR WHO YOU ARE!

The AnaXent name was born replacing CC to an X from a girl with An Accent.

AnaXent wrote the whole frist album, not just her own lyrics but for all the other featured artists that she worked with: Shaka, Max, Stasja, Carvell. Notorious T,...

Her heart is in hip-hop which helps her to express her pain, feelings, truth, thoughts and experience.

A dancer, true performer and a songwriter AnaXent is a brand new fresh female lyricist that had come to shock the world!

AnaXent was invited to perform for the m-a.tv community project who were doing lots of positive stuff in the community and were struck by her lyrics so asked her to perform at the M-A TV launch.

She is now signed to Soundsbad Music who actually thought that the her accent is really something special and her ability to write in different languages and having such impact with her lyrics, her style and her talent is believable and she is the next big ting!
